(VOVworld) – 250 officials, referees, and contestants from 20 countries gathered at the 4th World Vovinam or Vietnamese martial arts Championship which opened Thursday in Algeria.
The World Vovinam Federation’s Secretary General Vo Danh Hai said the event is a great opportunity to promote the Vietnamese martial arts, and the Vietnamese spirit and cultural essence to international friends.
As part of the 3-day event, the World Vovinam Federation Executive Committee will hold a meeting to review its performance in recent years and discuss future development plans for the martial arts around the world.
