Three gold medals from two players of Manipur representing India at the fourth International Vovinam Martial Art Championship and a warm welcome from fans and supporters mark a glorious day on Thursday.
Yenshembam Jiban Meitei won two gold medals and Chongtham Mahadeva added another gold medal in their respective categories at the Championship held at Dhaka, Bangladesh during 5th to 10 June, 2015.

Yenshambam Jiban won a gold in the 48 kg category and another gold medal in the Ngu Mon Quyen form of Vovinam martial art.
While Chongtham Mahadeva won his gold medal in the 60 kg category.
With their medals India won 5 gold medals and a silver medal at the end of the championship.
Officials of Vovinam association of Manipur, local clubs meira paibi from Khurai Moirangkampu Awang Leikai, Imphal East and Ningombam Awang Leikai, Imphal West gave a warm welcome to the two achievers at the Tulihal airport.
Mention may also be made that Yenshembam Jiban son of Y Ibomcha Meitei of Khurai Moirangkampu Awang Leikai had earlier won 12 gold medals, 1 silver at the National Championships.
He had also won 1 bronze medal at World Vovinam Championship at Vietnam.
While Chongtham Mahadeva son of Ch Shyam from Ningombam Awang Leikai, Imphal West had earlier won 4 national championships added with two silver and two bronze at Asian championship.
