The Standing Board of the Vietnam Traditional Material Arts Federation in term IV established

Since establishing the traditional material arts on August, 1991 up to now, the Federation has developed in 35 nations in the world. Vietnamese traditional martial arts have been practised in 100

countries and territories by hundreds of thousands of followers. It is now one of the world’s most popular sports. In particular, the Federation has contributed into propagandizing some opinions of the Party about sports and an approach of the State to develop some characters of the traditional material arts through many activities to turn traditional material arts into the world.

Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia Hoang Vinh Giang was voted chairman of the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation at a recent meeting in Hanoi. The new chairman said in the first quarter of 2014, he would promote plans to promote Vietnamese Vovinam throughout the world, and lobby for its inclusion at the 28th Southeast Asian Games in 2015 in Singapore and the later Games in Brunei and Vietnam. Participating at the Congress, Deputy Minister of the MOCST Le Khanh Hai praised some affords of the Standing Board, some cadres and athletes as well as coaches by some contributions to gain some set tasks.
